The Alberta Pork Producers Development Corporation (Alberta Pork) is a non-profit organization representing the province’s registered hog producers. Alberta Pork was formed in 1969 as a self-sustaining, non-profit marketing board, carrying out programs for promotion and development of the industry. 

Alberta Pork Producers provide the highest attention to the health and care of their pigs, to the safety of their workers and families, to the sustainability of the environment, and to the needs of the consumers for whom they proudly grow food. The pork produced by Alberta pork producers is of the highest quality and favoured all over the world.

Alberta Milk is a non-profit organization, driven by family-owned farms that represents Alberta’s dairy producers and is a strategic partner in Canada’s dairy industry.

Alberta Milk supports Alberta’s dairy farmers in their work to produce safe and nutritious food and they undertake a variety of activities, including marketing, nutrition, education, transportation, and policy development and implementation to build a thriving, economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable industry.

Alberta Pulse Growers is a non-profit organization that supports over 6,500 Alberta growers of pulses, which includes field peas, dry beans, lentils, chickpeas, faba beans, and soybeans. Alberta Pulse Growers conducts research, marketing, and advocacy on behalf of their members and works to have Alberta pulses recognized by consumers as environmentally friendly, healthy, nutritious. 

Alberta Pulse Growers values accountability, optimism, innovation, collaboration, and sustainability in their mission to increase the sustainability and profitability of pulse production in Alberta.

Founded in 1989, the mission of Alberta Canola Producers Commission is to support the long-term success of canola farmers in Alberta through research, extension, consumer engagement, and advocacy. 

Alberta Canola works to affect change on policy matters that are important to canola farmers, representing over 14,000 canola farmers in Alberta on provincial, national, and international issues.

Porkapalooza Kansas City BBQ Society is a world-class cooking competition that has teams from across western Canada competing. Porkapalooza BBQ Society organizes a community event offering visitors a food festival that explores the art and culture of BBQ.

With their partners and the BBQ teams, Porkapalooza shares its love of good food and BBQ with Albertans. The 2022 community event is closed to the public, however photos, videos, and stories are shared online. Taste Alberta partners with Porkapalooza to promote farmers, local food and great tasting BBQ.
